The original founders of the Auxiliary set out to raise funds to build a hospital close to home. They believed there was a real need for the hospital in the community and promised to do everything they could to support, promote and serve in it. Since its inception in 1960, the Auxiliary has raised more than $10 million to fund many programs and services for the hospital and the community it serves.
Our mission is to support Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage and Delnor Hospitals through fundraising, public awareness and community service.
The Auxiliary fulfills this mission by funding ongoing and new wellness projects both in the community and the hospitals. Our activities seek to enhance the facilities and services of the hospitals helping to support our Northwestern Medicine patient first mission. In addition, the Auxiliary invests in the next generation of caregivers through our annual scholarship program.
